The location is great because you are on one of the side streets and not on a main avenue, so it is very quiet. The rooms are smaller than what I expected. The hotel is clean, but it needs an upgrade in all the public areas. Laundry facility needs to be upgraded as well to accept credit cards, and there is only one washing machine and one dryer which is not enough for a hotel this size. The bathroom in the room was recently renovated so it was very nice. The ventilation system in the hotel needs to be upgraded as well. The air was stuffy and the A/C was non-existent. If you are staying here in the summer months, check the A/C in the room before you unpack. If not cold, ask for another room. Marriott should be able to provide good A/C in all of their hotels. They must know that NYC is hot and humid in the summer months.
